…did you know they were this bad for you???
“Tobacco use causes many types of cancer, including cancer of the lung (obviously), larynx (voice box), mouth, esophagus, throat, bladder, kidney, liver, stomach, pancreas, colon and rectum, and cervix, as well as acute myeloid leukemia. People who use smokeless tobacco (snuff or chewing tobacco) have increased risks of cancers of the mouth, esophagus, and pancreas.” www.cancer.gov
I should rephrase it as it puts you at increased risk for the above noted cancers.
- Cigarette smoking causes more than 480,000 deaths each year in the United States. This is nearly one in five deaths. www.cdc.gov
- I can toss in things like heart disease, vascular issues, strokes, and a whole host of other health issues that are related to tobacco.
Lastly, for the guys, erectile dysfunction. Vascular issues, well, tobacco affects blood vessels ALL over the body.
I can tell you to stop, but until you are ready, you won’t. When you decide to stop, seek out a smoking cessation course. It will help.
